Enjoy the delights of Altrincham……….

We have got everything you need from a market town pub near you.

The Old Roebuck originated not as pub that you see today, but as several smaller cottages that were converted into an alehouse in the 19th Century. By the early 20th Century, the Old Roebuck was providing a well-earned pint of ale and a hearty meal to visitors after a hard day within the market town.

Our menus are full of hearty favourites and traditional pub classics, as well as our seasonal spring dishes, and we’ll be ready with a well-stocked bar, including cask ales, fine wines and a selection of gins to suit very taste – which will taste all the better when enjoyed either in our decking area or by our crackling log fires.

We look forward to welcoming you!

A few things to note……

In support of the Government’s NHS Test and Trace initiative, when you arrive you’ll be asked to register your details. Please note that it is mandatory for guests to provide contact details for Test and Trace purposes, and if this is not provided entry will be refused.

So, when you visit us you will be asked to scan a site specific NHS QR code or click on the link below to register your contact details via your smart phone.

In the event of no smart phone or technical issues, guests will be asked to register their visit by pen and paper. Data will only be shared if we are required to make any records available to the health authorities if they wish to follow up on suspected outbreaks, and in such circumstances, it will only be relevant data which is shared.

Data will only be used for the additional purpose of Test and Trace for a period of 21 days after the date of visit. After this time, our standard retention rules apply to any personal data we hold.

Current Covid Rules

It is mandatory to wear a face covering when moving around our bar and restaurant. It is not necessary to wear a mask when seated at your table. Please see FAQs for exemptions to this.

We have deep cleaned areas and thorough cleaning routines are taking place regularly all day, every day.

We have increased the frequency of our cleaning routines.

Every table is cleaned thoroughly at the end of every guest visit.

We are encouraging contactless payments to avoid handling cash. The contactless limit for card payments has increased to £45, includes Apple and Googlepay also.

We have introduced new measures to ensure that we meet government advice on safe distancing. We ask all our guests to be respectful of this policy when they visit us.

We welcome four legged friends and have water to ensure they are as comfortable as you are during your visit!

Dogs are allowed in the bar area of our pub, as this is the most friendly environment for you and your four-legged friends to feel relaxed, safe, and happy at all times during your visit.

To note, we have a resident cat called Sausage (long storey) and children; so would ask that dogs are kept on a lead.
